B. Bible: Read a passage
#1 Identify a Bible Reading Plan Choose a book of the Bible / Find a Bible reading plan
#2 Write the date and the passage on the top of today's page (It is helpful to create a table of contents in your notebook.)
#3 Pray asking the Holy Spirit to open your heart to Jesus and the words of encouragement, direction, or correction he will have for you.
#4 Read the passage with a heart open to whatever insight or lesson Jesus has for you. Sometimes I may read just one or two verses and know Jesus is saying something to me. Other times I may read several paragraphs or even an entire chapter.
#5 Put a “B” in the margin of your notebook and write down the main Bible verse / or verses that Jesus used to speak to you.
O. Observe: What is Jesus saying to you?
#1 Reflect on what Jesus is saying to you through this passage. Take time to Meditate on what Jesus is saying to you This isn't eastern / new age meditation where you empty your mind This is Bible meditation where you are filling your mind with God's Word
